The terms of buying from us.

Who you're buying from
CraftMuni (craftmuni.com) is a sole proprietorship of Nyayapati V S Sai Rasmitha, based in India. By placing an order or reserving an artist you agree to these terms. Contact us at sales@craftmuni.com.
Handmade pieces
Everything we sell is made by hand. Cast brass, enamel and hand-dyed cloth vary a little from piece to piece in finish, colour and size; that variation is part of the work, not a defect. Product photographs show the actual piece or one from the same batch.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars. Prices for the United States include import duties.
- Checkout is hosted by Shopify and payments are processed by Razorpay. Your bank may charge a currency conversion fee if your card isn’t in US dollars.
- We may correct a clear pricing error. If an order was placed at a wrong price, we’ll ask whether you want it at the right price or a full refund.
- An order is accepted when we send the dispatch email; until then we may cancel it with a full refund.
Shipping, customs and returns
Delivery times, customs and returns for ready-made pieces are set out on our Shipping & Returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Commissioned paintings
- Concept sketches are free and you can ask for as many as you like. They are AI-generated starting points for the artist, not the painting.
- You reserve a painting with a $150 payment for a Story Portrait ($449) or a Pet Story Portrait ($449), and pay the rest as the painting progresses: $150 when you approve the artist’s outline, and $149 when it’s finished, before it ships.
- $449 is an early-bird price for commissions reserved by Dec 31, 2026; from January 1, 2027 the price is $549. Your price is fixed when you reserve.
- The $150 reservation is refunded in full if we can’t take the commission, or if you cancel before the artist begins. Once the artist begins it is non-refundable.
- The artist repaints the chosen sketch by hand in their own style, so the finished painting will differ from it. Gond figures are stylised: people are recognised by what they wear and carry, not by facial likeness.
- Painting takes about 4–6 weeks from your reservation. We send progress photos and tell you if it will take longer.
- You own the physical painting. The artist keeps the copyright. We show your painting publicly, for example on this site or social media, only if you said that was OK when you reserved it.
- Commissions are made for you and can’t be returned, unless the painting arrives damaged; then the damaged-items policy applies.
- You confirm you have the right to share the stories, names and photos you send us, and we use them only to make your painting. We may decline stories we can’t paint respectfully or lawfully.

Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it, and we aren’t liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please email us first and we’ll try to put it right. You keep any right to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms; the version on this page when you order applies to that order. How we handle personal data is in our Privacy Policy.
